XF News Roundup (7/20)

July 20th 2008 18:25
T-minus 5 Days and counting... To start off with, just in case you didn’t know, there will be an extra scene at the end of the movie after the credits, so stay tuned! Apparently it’s funny? Interesting..."nailed it?" anyone? LoL Can’t wait to see it!

Okay, so on to the new news.

1. FS has an audio interview over at abovetopsecret.com. Download or stream to listen to it HERE. (his part starts at about 44 minutes)

2. The New York Daily News has a new article with David and Gillian up HERE. Nothing much new, but here’s a little tidbit I’ll never get tired of hearing.

"I found it quite tricky over the first couple of days to slide back into it," says Anderson. "It was kind of unexpected and a bit freakish for me."

Freakish, that is, until the first scene that reunited her with Duchovny, aka Agent Fox Mulder. It was innocuous - just a brief conversation between the two agents as they walked down the hallway at FBI headquarters.

But the old magic was back.

"It was definitely the moment that [we] got into the same room together that it felt familiar again," says Anderson.

For Duchovny, the chance to revisit Mulder was more like slipping on a comfortable old trench coat.

"I missed the heroic quality of [Mulder] - he's got a hell of a lot of integrity and he's a dreamer," says Duchovny. "And sometimes he made me a better person, just because he was so single-minded and courageous."

Thanks to this article we get the new poster pic without all the promotion words.

3. For those of you who missed Fox’s All Access radio interview with DD and GA this morning, I can tell you that it was basically same old, same old, but at the end the guy did say that of the few things he had learned about the movie, “shippers would be happy”. Call me a paranoid, or just an X-phile, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

And finally, just a quick note, I’m staying away from any major spoilers because, well, I really hate knowing the end of a movie before I see it. So have no fear, I promise not to tell you how it ends and spoil it for you! Unless of course you ask, then come July 25 I will tell you everything your little X-phile heart desires...well, almost anything.

And, sadly, I will be gone all of next week (nooo! ) with limited TV/computer access (*sniff* Of all the weeks! Oh well, what can you do?), but have no fear! Our lovely fellow phile Lilith has agreed to update this site while I'm gone, and hopefully she and Amy will keep me updated via the wonders of text messaging.

I'll be leaving on Tuesday so I'll get at least one more post in tomorrow (hopefully with Early Show clips )

(((((HUGS all around!)))))
