What’s your favorite classic TV show?

November 6th 2007 21:21

Remember back when shows were B&W and married couples slept in seperate beds? It was the time of some of our greatest comedians like Lucille Ball and Dick Van Dyke. It was the time I first realized I had a "my show". What was it you ask? Reruns of Get Smart of course! How I wish I could still turn on my TV to Nick at Nite and watch Agents 86 and 99 "miss it by that much" but still save the world.

So this week's poll is in honor of all those great classics we still love!

Hello Meggie

This is a good question but I can't think of anything at the moment. I'll finish the vacuuming and come back,

Nice to meet you too, Meggie. Unfortunately, nothing has come to me yet...

I just keep thinking of recent programs like Friends, Entourage and things like that...and they're not classics (not yet anyway)...ah well,

Byeee

Don't worry, I'll still be here whenever you're struck with a sudden classic revelation.

Get Smart definitely. It was way beyond my time of course but I remember watching it as a kid in the early 90's and wishing I could grow up and be a CONTROL agent too. It was a classic comedy that can still be watched today! If it comes out on DVD I will most certainly be adding it to my collection.

Hi Justicia, thanks for stopping by!

I definitely agree with you. I too was watching the Get Smart reruns as a kid wishing I could be like Max and 99.

Oh, and good news! The whole season is out on DVD!

Thanks for the info, being in the land of Oz usually means we get DVD's like this a long time after release in the US. Doesn't stop me though, if it wasn't for Amazon and Ebay I wouldn't have all my Gilmore Girls DVD's! Get Smart is definitely on my wish list now!

Haha, oh I know what you mean. I'd be lost without Amazon and Ebay!
