In my morning paper I ran across an article talking about a new release of songs featured on the new official soundtrack for Fox’s hit series, House, and it looks like it’ll be pretty good. If nothing else, we’ll get to hear "House" sing.
I'm thinkin' I may have to buy this just to listen to this "Band From TV"...

Nettwerk Records and associates of NBC’s Universal Video, Music & Product development have announced they will be releasing a 12-track compilation of the most memorable songs from the critically acclaimed series “House,” just before the start of its forth season.
The Official television soundtrack will be available in stores on Sept. 18, boasting the talents of Ben Harper, Josh Rouse, Lucinda Williams, Gomez, Joe Cocker, and the signature theme to the series, “Teardrop” by Massive Attack
The album promises a dark but hopeful theme to parallel the respected but antisocial demeanor of diagnostician Dr. Gregory House, played by Hugh Laurie.
Some never-before-released tracks are highlights in the collection, such as Elvis Costello’s cover of Christina Aguilera’s No. 1 hit “Beautiful.”
Canadian chanteuse Sarah McLachlan will offer a new twist on XTC’s controversial song “Dear God,” which previously had been available only up north.
New tracks will include a soon-to-be-sought-after oddity, a group of television actors covering the Rolling Stones’ classic track “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” The group, called Band From TV in the liner notes, is composed of several television celebrities, including Greg Grunberg from “Heroes,” James Denton fro “Desperate Housewives,” Bonnie Somerville from “Cashmere Mafia” and Bob Guiney from “The Bachelor.” Most notably, though, the band will feature “House’s” Laurie doing his best Mick Jagger impression as lead vocalist.
