Upon reaching Seattle, Bones, Scully, and Mick decide to go have a look at the patients at Seattle Grace while everyone else gets drops their things off at the hotel. Bones still refuses to believe this is the work of vampires, so Mick keeps his smelling abilities secret until he’s sure. Upon viewing the victims, however, he lets Scully know that yes, this is indeed the work of a real vampire. He mutters something about having to go call a man named Joseph and walks out of the room.
Bones goes to find this Dr. House everyone is talking about while Scully stays back to try and deal with the barrage of questions she’s getting form Dr.’s Grey, Yang, Stevens, O’Malley, and Karev.
Mulder and Booth head on over to talk to the local field office, and Beth asks them if she can tag along. As much as they both hate reporters, they decide to give her a chance as long as she’ll stay out of their way. They both know the advantage of having informants. Maybe she can sneak around while they’re doing the official stuff…
Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Bones has found an ally. Both she and House are determined to prove that their patients are not victims of vampire attacks, as they don’t exist. Scully exchanges a rueful look with Mick.
She calls Mulder to tell him what’s been going on. Talk about déjà vu…Mulder asks her if he’s spotted any empty pizza boxes lying around…
Speaking of pizza…Sam and Dean have made it halfway across the county driving straight through the night, and stop in Lincoln, NE to try out this Valentino’s Pizza everyone is talking about. They take one bite and, “Dude.” They wonder why they’ve never tried it before. Dean orders more to go…along with onion rings.
Back in Seattle, House has ordered the Seattle Grace doctors to start performing numerous tests--much to their shock and slight annoyance. Even Bones is getting tired of all the non-answers, so she and Scully head out to try and find their partners. They wonder whatever happened to Mick?
It turns out Mick has decided to visit the morgue, where he finds an interesting number of victims who didn’t last long enough to make it to the hospital. It appears most of them were from the street, which explains the lack of missing persons reports.
He sniffs the air. Nothing. The vampire, if he or she had been their, is long gone. He puts his sunglasses back on and heads back outside.
Evening falls and everyone meets back up in one of the conference rooms at the hotel. Mulder, Scully, and Booth are all wondering why they suddenly got a nice hotel to stay in for once. Bones just shrugs and says she always gets to stay in nice places. Booth mutters something about famous forensic anthropologists and The Jeffersonian.
They order a ton of take-out and fast food and sit down to discuss the case. Bones wonders why Mick isn’t eating, but he just keeps assuring her that he already did earlier. Mulder glances from Mick to the food, clearly finding this information intriguing.
Mick tells them what he found in the morgue. Scully decides that she should probably go back with him to see if she can examine the bodies. When she asks Bones if she’d like to come, Bones just replies that she doesn’t work with bodies that still have flesh on them. Booth shoots her a warning look.
Suddenly Mulder’s phone rings. It’s Dean telling them that he and Sam have run across something that tells them they might have a bigger problem then they all thought…
