Supernatural: The Magnificent Seven

October 4th 2007 04:47
The Boys Are Back!!

That was so good! I haven’t had that much fun yelling at the TV screen in long time. Haha

**SPOILER ALERT**

Supernatural season 3 kicks off with our favorite brothers Sam and Dean, along with their surrogate father Bobby heading of to “Just outside Lincoln, NE” where the cicadas are crazy loud—And believe me, NE cicadas can be crazy loud under normal circumstances, so this has to be bad—where a family of three apparently just sat down in front of the TV and wasted away to rotting corpses. Because they were just that bored. Oh wait, no. It’s more than that…

Apparently the end of last season resulted in letting out The 7 Deadly Sins. The real ones. *Insert Dean Brad Pitt joke here* The 7 Deadly Sins who like to get together, hang out in their favorite bar, and make people drink drain-o. Or drain-o-like fluid, minus the “o”. So I guess that means just Drain…

Anyway, they run into some new English hunters, a married couple Tamara and Isaac. We get a glimpse of one of the new girls, Ruby, played by Katie Cassidy, (who I am officially calling not by name but by Crazy-Sam-Stalker), just before a girl kills another girl over some green shoes she really really wants.

I won’t ruin the rest of the episode for you by giving away every great detail, but let’s just say Dean is out to make every second count in his last year of life and Lust goes after him, and I didn’t recognize Bobby without his regular Trucker hat and hunter attire.

First impression of Crazy-Sam-Stalker? Troubling. Or as Dean says…

“Actually the more troubling question would be how come a girl can fight better than you?”

Sam gets attacked by Pride and suddenly Crazy-Sam-Stalker appears and takes down three of the 7 Deadly Sins with some sort of magical knife? Hmm...Oh well, as Sam explains…

Sam: Three demons Dean.
Dean: Ah.
Sam: At once.
Dean: Hey whatever it takes to get you through night pal.
Sam: If you want a troubling question I got one for you.
Dean: What’s that?
Sam: If we let out the 7 Deadly Sins, what else did we let out?
Dean: You’re right, that is troubling.

PS-Love the new title animation...

All in all? Great episode! I loved it, and can’t wait for next week!
