Supernatural: Sin City
October 27th 2007 17:28
Sam and Dean head to Elizabethville, Ohio, where, “there is definitely something wrong with the people in this town”. Dean eventually finds out that demons have infiltrated the locals, “nudging” them in the direction of gambling, drinking, and other basic instincts. Like killing.
Bobby works on The Colt and gets some surprise help from Ruby, and one of Deans old friends turns up missing. He finds out the bartender in the local watering hole is actually a demon, who took him to her castle-like underground lair and killed him. She goes after Dean, who traps her in the basement, but then is himself trapped when she caves in the only way out. As they sit there waiting for someone to find them, she tells him she was ready to follow Sam in the war, but now that Sam “hasn’t exactly stepped up”, there’s chaos between demons fighting for power.
Sam goes to a priest for help, but it turns out he’s in it with the bartender. They both make it to the cave-in at the same time, as does Bobby with the Colt. And Ruby. The bartender Demon actually tries to stop her boyfriend from killing Dean, and Sam shows up and shoots them both with The Colt. This gets Dean to ask Bobby, “You think there’s something wrong with my brother?” Bobby tries to reassure Dean that Sam’s fine, “demon’s lie.” He doesn’t look too convinced though.
Ruby shows up in Sam’s room as he’s leaving and he threatens to shoot her right then and there. She tells him, fine, but who’s going to help him save Dean? Sam backs down of course, as he would do anything for his brother. Ruby warns him that he’s going to have to do some things he’s not going to like before this is over. He tells her he doesn’t have to like it, and she answers, “of course you don’t, you wouldn’t be Sam if you did.” Poor Sam.
