Supernatural pays homage to The X-files

November 18th 2010 04:11
This week's Supernatural episode is a tribute to none other than the show that came before (and the show many of the Supernatural crew worked on) The X-files! Check out the opening below, which gives nods to all things X-files, including Mark Snow's score.

Quite possibly the best thing ever? YES!

Castle did an XF homage on Monday, too. I bet you $5 Rob Bowman had something to do with it. He's a producer for Castle now.

I saw the promo where he was whistling the theme song. Was there more? Bones, Castle, Supernatural...All these XF homages going on...Wonder if it's a sign?

There was a reference to the cigarette smoking man, and an abduction scene where Beckett ends up drooling on Castle in their car. I laughed out loud on that one. I was waiting for mention of ice tea and sandwiches.
