That's right, I'm just now getting around to watching True Blood (thank you Dianne! ), and I have to say, I'm really lovin' it. It's very atmospheric, and one of those contributing factors is Nathan Barr's great score. That being said, I couldn't find any of it to embed, so you'll have to check it out via his website (listen to the "Hair Clip" song at the top). In the mean time, here's the theme song to True Blood. It's "Bad Things" by Jace Everett. Enjoy.
This week's song comes in the form of the video just so you can see Hugh Laurie playing the song he composed for the episode. It's a piano piece appropriately called "Cuddy's Serenade" and was at the end of this season's episode, "Unfaithful". I really liked the song the second I heard it, liked it even more that House was playing it in the episode, and love that Hugh Laurie actually composed it himself!
*Spoiler alert for those of you who haven't seen the episode yet!*
This week's song is "Whisper" by A Fine Frenzy. It was featured on this season's episode of House, "Joy to the World". The song was heard towards the end of the episode. (I won't tell you exactly what was happening just in case you haven't seen it yet. Don't want to spoil it for ya. ) Enjoy!
This week's song was heard on this week's first episode of Bones, "Double Trouble In The Panhandle" (a.k.a. the circus episode). It's "No Envy No Fear by Joshua Radin. The song is heard at the end of the episode, when they finally find out what really happened, and it's sadly not what anyone expected...Enjoy
Well look at this, for once I'm posting early! What is the world coming to? hehe Anyway, if you're a fan of Lost, you'll enjoy this week's spoof by the great Luke ski entitled "Everybody Get Lost". I picked it because, after what feels like forever, Lost is finally back with a new season. Whoohoo! Enjoy! [ Click here to read more ]
This week's song was on this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy "Sympathy For The Devil". It's Johnathan Rice's "The Acrobat", and was playing at the end of the episode when Major Owen tells Cristina about his best/worst surgery and Alex tells Izzie he wants to take a road trip to maybe have her meet his mom. Or you know, not. Whatever. [ Click here to read more ]
This week's song is "Saving Josh" by Trevor Morris. It was featured in a few episodes of Moonlight, but you'll most likely remember it from "Love Lasts Forever". For those of you who haven't seen the episode, I won't spoil it for you, but this scored an emotional scene that is still one of my favorites from the show. I think this song captures everything I loved about the look and feel of Moonlight, the tragic hopefulness of it all. *suddenly misses Mick St. John a lot* Enjoy
This week's song comes from this week's episode of Californication "In Utero". The song is "Nothingman" by Pearl Jam. And can I just say I love that letter that Hank wrote? Poor guy. His whole life is just so sad. [ Click here to read more ]
This week's song comes from the Private Practice episode "In Which Charlotte Goes Down the Rabbit Hole". The song is All We Are by Matt Nathanson. Enjoy
Get Smart was the first TV show I could ever really consider myself a true "fan" of. I was too young to have caught the very first black & white intro (in fact I don't remember ever even seeing a black and white episode), but I do remember all the other credit sequences all too well. I was first introduced to Agents 86 and 99 in reruns of Get Smart on Nick at Nite when I was little. I've been hooked since. Check out how the theme and the all the intros have changed over the years
This week's song was featured in The X-files black & white episode "Post-Modern Prometheus". The scene it was used in (in which the kind-hearted "monster" finally gets to go to a Cher concert and dance with the woman he loves) is still one of my all time favorite X-files episode endings (and one of my favorite episodes in general ). The story was so sweet and that dance at the end with Mulder and Scully is classic! The song is Cher's "Walking in Memphis". Enjoy!
