No Reyes or Doggett for XF2, but maybe XF3?

Just a quick update for everyone. Gillian Anderson has arrived on set, and filming has started up again! According to Chris Carter's most recent interview with TV Guide, the movie does indeed take place after the end of the series and we'll get to catch up with what Mulder and Scully have been doing over the past 6 years.
As far as any hints to the possible storyline, he has this to say:
"It's a stand-alone story that owes everything to the series, but not the mythology of the series. What we'll be dealing with is government-based as far as the conspiracy goes, but expect this not to be a revisitation [of the show's convoluted conspiracy.]" That would be alienating.
And...
A fan recently ran into Annabeth Gish at The Business of Being Born premiere and had this to say:
"She confirmed that neither her or Robert Patrick would be appearing in the second X-Files movie. She did say that Chris told her that if the second movie does well, she'll be in the next one."
I'm all for XF3! Whoohoo!
