New XF2 trailer (6/4)

June 3rd 2008 20:00

A HUGE thanks to our own Lilith for e-mailing me on this one!! Yay! I can't wait!

To view an HD version, head on over to Yahoo's summer movie guide!

Snippets from the article:

What's the Story?

We're afraid that's classified information. But we can tell you what it's not about. It's not about bees. It's not about oil. It's not about brain implants or stolen ova. It's not about a virus. It's not about shapechanging alien bounty hunters. We're also pretty sure it's not about chimps in space. But that's really all we know. Rumors say it's a nice, tidy, one-shot storyline in the suspense-thriller genre, and that Mulder and Scully's son will be involved in some way. But don't trust us on that. Trust no one.

Three Good Reasons:

* 1 Newcomers to the X-Files universe won't be lost, as the story was written to be accessible and enjoyable to those who have never watched the show.

* 2 Mulder and Scully, together! It's refreshing to see a romance in the movies that is a true affair of the intellect and a meeting of minds. (Plus, there's been talk that they make out!)

* 3 Some intriguing new cast members -- including Billy Connellly, Xzibit, and Amanda Peet -- will be mingling with some old friends from the show, including fan favorite Mitch Pileggi.

Whoohoo! So is that an official 'Skinner's in the movie' then? Nice.

OK, that looks #@$!$@#$% AWESOME!! I wish we all lived closer together so we could go to see it together. I'm still working on bribing my boyfriend. Plus, it looks scary so I'll need a hand to hold or something! YAY XF2 and thank you Meg and Lillith!

Argh! I know!! I so wish we all lived closer together! I hate going to scary movies by myself, but everyone I was going to go with is getting jobs in other towns and moving! Oh well, I'm seeing it no matter what! LoL

I would love to go see this movie with someone who loves it as much as I do! But going across the ocean is a little too extreme right now LOL Anyway, about that scary part... I will be too excited watching Mulder and Scully to notice the scary parts LOL I never did before either, when it was on TV And I usually am scared watching things like that

Very good point! The X-files never scared me before, I don't see why it should start now. LoL Something about having Mulder and Scully there just makes it okay...I'll probably have to watch it a hundred times anyway just to let it all sink it that it's actually happening...and then another hundred to get past just seeing Mulder and Scully and concentrate on the plot...haha

LOL, same here I already have plans to watch the movie every weekend for the rest of the summer.... maybe even few times during the week I need to start working overtime again and save the money for the tickets

Hahaha! I'll see it at least twice, hopefully more if I can swing it. Gone are the days of going to see a movie a gazillion times-- it's expensive! Maybe I'll use my old student ID and catch a matinee or two on the weekend. It'll save me about $5! Not that Mulder and Scully aren't worth the extra dough, but gas is freaking expensive! We're almost to $4.50 a gallon out here in SoCal. See, everyone wants to live here until they hear how much gas costs. It, how do you say, le sucks.

$4.50? Sheesh! And I thought we had it bad with $3.78! LoL But I know what you mean. I've set aside only so much money to allow myself to go see it as I would probably go broke if I didn't. haha Maybe I'll wait until it gets to this one theater in a nearby town where it's only $5 regardless of showtime...But then again it takes 45 minutes to drive there and another 45 to get back...I guess we're back to the gas thing again! *sigh* LoL
