IWTB Week is Here

July 20th 2009 14:41

As had been announced, during the anniversary week of IWTB, the XF3 Army will be carrying out the IWTB week operation. What's this activity?

From July 20th to July 26th we're asking everyone to purchase a single-disc DVD copy of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, for the following reasons:

To spike the sales of IWTB during this week to make it part of the top sales charts again.

To share the copy (if you already have one and don't want to keep it to yourself) with friends and family and present the movie and The X-Files to new people, or donate it on behalf of yourself and the campaign to the list of websites that we have gathered for this, increasing the chances that the copy that you purchase will be making a new phile somewhere around the world.

to send a clear message to FOX that fans are still out there, that this is a profitable franchise and that there's an audience for a 3rd movie (And maybe more?)

How to participate:

Buy a single-disc DVD copy of "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" from Amazon.com. We encourage that you do this from this merchant because when websites like "The Numbers" and "Box Office Mojo" do their weekly count of DVD sales, they base the information on domestic units sold, because its easier to track down.

As we want to be able to have every single one of the purchases counted, but we understand that a lot of folks also want to go to their local stores, or even another website, we ask you in all cases to send to us a scan of your receipt to xfn1013@gmail.com (Cover your info so it remains private, only leave the name and purchase, cover all credit card numbers and addresses)

If you want to buy from Itunes, we must inform you that these purchases do not count as unit sales, but it would still cause a spike on their weekly sales. Send us the proof of purchase too to count it as well.

If you want to keep the copy to youself or give it personally to friends, family or charitable institutions, ship it to your location, but if you want to be part of the charity drive organized by the XF3 Army, you should ship the dvd(s) to the following address:

IBG c/o Patricia Steffy,
149 S. Barrington Ave. #190,
Los Angeles, CA 90049 USA

The DVD's that are shipped to this location will bedonated to the following charities:

-Cancer Research Foundation
-Movies for Free
-AM Vets

More charities will be added when we confirm their participation.

The final tally will be posted on this website, as well as information about the posterior donation of DVD's to the organizations. This will also be informed as part of our package drop to FOX when the campaign finishes.

Just to let you know the math behind this, we need to buy 1.000 DVD's to make a spike in the sells and 30.000 to make it to the top of the charts. So troopers... are you ready to fight?
