The song of the week this week comes from this season's finale of House, "Wilson's Heart". The song is Passing Afternoon by Iron & Wine. So sad, but so good. Just like the finale.

I can’t believe it, but as of yesterday, it’s been a year since I took over the blogging of TV Chit Chat, and what a year it’s been! Aside from the (dare utter it?) Writers’ Strike and lack of awards shows, there were some definite quotable quotes, *GASP!* moments, and great new shows actually worth watching. And so, in honor of this season, I thought it only appropriate to recap the year in the form of…*ahem* original parody of a popular song…

*CUE PIANO MAN MUSIC*

(Why am I having a Bones moment? Oh right…)

*sits down at the piano and pulls out the harmonica*

And here, for those of you who like to read parodies along with the actual song...
olid">
billy joel- piano ...

On with the show!!

It’s nine o’clock at my computer
The regular fans loggin’ in
There’s a TV sitting next to me
Still wonderin’ what happened to Jin.

He says, “Sun can you bring back the time machine?
I’m not really sure where it is,
But it’s buried, once cone-shaped, now probably black
Locke knows, but Jack’s better with this.

la la la didi daaa
la la didi daa
daa dum

Play us a show, you’re the TV set
Play us a show tonight
Well we’re all in the mood for a tragedy
With comedy written in just right

Now Dean in the car is a friend of mine
And Sammy yeah he’s in there too
They’re quick with the joke
Or to pull out The Colt
But there’s demons and more than a few

Dean says, “Sam, I believe this is killing me,”
As Bela ran away with the gun
“Well I’m sure that I could get out of this deal
But dude, you for me, that’s not fun.”

Oh la la la didi daaa
la la didi daa
daa dum

Now Bones, she’s a best-selling novelist
Who never has time for a life
She and Booth in therapy, and Sweets doing pottery
And still no Squint wedding in sight

And the “Mc” thing is still on at Seattle Grace
And Dr. House and his cane are alone
Because Wilson and Amber are now a thing
And poor Sloan is now all on his own

Play us a show, you’re the TV set
Play us a show tonight
Well we’re all in the mood for a tragedy
With comedy written in just right

Mick and Beth have to deal with the “human thing”
And Josef redecorates with a smile
But they know Coraline and the writers will try
To tease, break them up for a while

And the music brings tears to my little eyes
And the lighting reminds me of noir
And if it doesn’t come back and they stake Mick St. John
As Josef says, CBS “It’s SO ON!”

Oh la la la didi daaa
la la didi daa
daa dum

Play us a show, you’re the TV set
Play us a show tonight
Well we’re all in the mood for a tragedy
With comedy written in just right

Okay, the past two weeks have been super busy around here, so I’m doing something a little different for a while…okay maybe just until next week, but there were so many *GASP! * moments in TV the past two weeks, that I couldn’t wait until my official full-length recaps to talk to you guys!

And so…here are my quick initial reactions to all of the jaw-dropping, tear-jerking, laugh-out-loud moments of the past two weeks as season finales creep up on us full-force!! (If you have yet to watch these episodes, don’t worry, I’m not posting major spoilers, and I WILL have full-length recaps for you next week!! )

Okay, so on with the show…

~*~*~

Bones: The Wannabe in the Weeds

Booth gets a stalker, Zack can sing!!, and Bones tries her own hand at karaoke to prove Booth and Sweets wrong.

My *GASP! * Reactions:

Zack busting into song? Hilarious! Not to mention the guy can sing! So well in fact that he draws the attention of people from around the lab, and Cam and Angela linger in awe for a while afterwards! LoL

The end. I won’t spoil it for you now if you haven’t seen it but, wow. I totally didn’t see it coming quite like that! I can’t believe they **** *****!!

~*~*~

House: House’s Head

House is in a bus accident, gets a cracked skull, and can’t remember what he was doing on the bus in the first place. But wait! He does remember something about seeing someone dying…Now he just has to remember who and what they had in time to save them!

My *GASP! * Reactions:

Just like the title says, we travel, well, into House’s head! And that my friends is an odd, but very cool experience. There’s some funky mood lighting going on in that brilliant mind…

Where to start? House’s Cuddy hallucination/fantasy? Definitely the “What is my necklace made of?” thing! The answer caused the classic, jaw-drop-slap-hand-to-forehea d, why-didn’t-I-see-that? moment.

~*~*~

Lost: There’s No Place Like Home (Part I)

We see what happens when the Oceanic 6 step off the plane, and Ben has a plan (he always does, when are we going to figure that out?!) to move The Island…Sawyer and Jack team up.

My *GASP! * Reactions:

Wow, um…this is really hard to do without spoiling the episode for you…let’s see…There’s a freakish amount of C4 somewhere…There’s a definite “you go Sun!” moment, not to mention an “It’s about time!” one for Jack. But you have to wait for the end on that one.

~*~*~

Supernatural: No Rest for the Wicked

Break out the Kleenex people, it’s the season finale and Dean’s time is up!

My *GASP! * Reactions:

Soooo many in this one! I literally went from crying one second to laughing out loud the next. Dean’s speech? (“If this is my last day on earth I don’t want it to be socially awkward.” Haha!) The brothers-bust-into-roadtrip-s ong? SO funny! And yet so sad…

Other moments: Basically every Sam and Dean moment. The dream, the fight, Sam’s face-off with ******?!, THE END?!?! Ahhhhh!!! Noooo! They can’t leave it like that?! I was basically crying just as much as, well you know if you’ve seen it, if you haven’t you will.

~*~*~

Still haven’t been able to watch Grey’s Anatomy yet (Sad I know! That’s how busy I’ve been!), but don’t worry, I’ll post it soon. And don’t forget about Moonlight tonight!!

Off to go pack…will be back on Monday…Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

PS-If anything major happens on the Moonlight front, I’ll try to post if I can get to a computer. If not, Moonlight fans feel free to post the updated info in the Moonlight post below!

House: No More Mr. Nice Guy

May 6th 2008 04:42

As the nurses strike outside Princeton Plainsboro Hospital, a delivery man approaches Nurse Deb Tallridge and her husband Jeff. The delivery man tries to get around, they tell him to wait just a few more seconds, and he rams Deb with his cart. Jeff steps up, hugs the guy, and passes out

House: Frozen

February 4th 2008 21:27

Open on a blizzard at a frozen American base in the South Pole, where a guy named Sean is out trying to fix the generator. Just as he’s getting ready to head back inside, he turns just in time to watch a blade snap off one of the windmills in the storm. It hurtles towards him and slashes him in the leg. Luckily, he radios for help and Dr. Cate Milton is able to get him inside. She examines his leg, uses glue to repair his cut femoral artery (apparently at this temperature it’s the best thing to do) then checks his toes. It seems he’ll be fine. Suddenly she grabs her stomach, doubles over in pain and gasps, “I need help

House: Games

Basically the only thing you really need to know for this week? House finally finally picks his team! And it only took him half a season

House: Whatever it Takes

November 7th 2007 05:22

Forman came back last week and now that House has decided he can’t humiliate him enough to force him to quite, he leaves him in charge as he is contracted out to the CIA. Yep, you heard right the CIA wants House to come look at one of their own who someone tried to assassinate. House doesn’t believe it at first, that the guy sent to get him is really CIA or that the other guy has radiation poisoning. He hits on the CIA doctor and totally ignores the other one’s diagnosis, believing that the patient is suffering from cancer, not radiation poisoning

House: Alone

September 27th 2007 03:35

That was hilarious (and then very sad, but let’s focus on the good for now). Kidnapping House’s guitar? Brilliant. And did anyone else notice the definite difference in camera movement? Lots of handheld action going on. Kind of reminded me of Lost for a second. If Lost took place in a hospital of course...without Others or a scary--OK, so it didn't really remind of Lost except for the handheld-ness. haha

In my morning paper I ran across an article talking about a new release of songs featured on the new official soundtrack for Fox’s hit series, House, and it looks like it’ll be pretty good. If nothing else, we’ll get to hear "House" sing.
