Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice
October 5th 2007 05:39
OK, let’s start out with the original. This week’s episode: Love/Addiction. Meredith tries to avoid her half sister Lexie, Christina tries to avoid Mama Burke, and Izzie tries to get George to avoid telling Callie that their marriage is over.
This week’s memorable moments?
1. Alex letting Bailey take out her frustration on him. (haha, great scene)
2. Derek and Sloan as almost-friends again.
3. Christina ordering Lexie away for Meredith because Lexie is Christina’s intern.
4. Izzie and George have a moment…or two.
5. Callie knows something’s up but asks George not to talk about “It” tonight.
Alright, moving on to the spinoff, Private Practice.
When I first saw the Grey’s Anatomy episodes trying to ease us into the California feel I didn’t know if I was going to like it or not. After the premiere I still wasn’t quite sure, granted I did like Dr. Pete a lot, and I’m sure it had nothing to do with my missing The Nine...OK, so maybe it did.
Anyway, first episode: They spend a lot of time having to call for ambulances to get their patients to hospitals and Addison delivers a baby. There’s a lot more, but by now I’m sure you’ve already seen the episode, so I won’t spend forever trying to recap it for you.
Episode two: By the end of this episode I started to warm up to the other character’s more. This time Addison and Co. find out that two babies were switched at the hospital and one of them might only have five years to live. Sad (but good) episode—I mean what kind of person could purposely switch their own child? Oh yes, and a grandmother is poisoning her son, and inadvertently grandson, with mushrooms because it’s the only way she thinks he’ll stop drinking. Now that’s one effective quitting technique if I ever heard one.
All in all, a good week for Grey’s fans. To watch both episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice visit abc.com.
