~*~*~
Mark: He's got a great set of hands, you should be proud.
~*~*~
Catherine Avery: You keep looking at this thing like it's going to bite you.
~*~*~
Ben: I'm told you're dating a nurse. And kudos to you, who doesn't love nurses?
~*~*~
Meredith: No, you had a mother. Jackson and I had surgeons who procreated. It's just a little complicated.

(Opening Voiceover)
Derek: There are distinct differences between male and female brains.
Richard: Female brains have a larger Hippocampus. Which usually makes them better at attention and memory.
Alex: Male brains have a bigger parietal cortex. Which helps when fending off an attack.
Avery: Male brains confront challenges differently than female brains.
Mark: Woman are hardwired to communicate with language, detail, empathy. Men, not so much.
Owen: It doesn't mean that we're any less capable of emotion.
Derek: We can talk about our feelings, it's just that… most of the time, we'd really rather not.
~*~*~
April: Dibs on footprint face!
~*~*~
Richard: This is my sexy zombie nurse!
~*~*~
Mark: Look at him, looking like he runs the place.
Richard: He kind of does.
~*~*~
Owen: Hi, I'm Dr. Hunt. I'm the guy who repaired your broken jaw, and I'm also the guy who broke it.
~*~*~
Mark: You know you're the chief, not the sheriff.
~*~*~
Richard: Once you're the president, you're always Mr. President.
~*~*~
Alex: Bad Idea. Shepherd hates me, I hate the woods. You know there are bears out here.
~*~*~
Jackson: What do you think they are talking about?
Ben: My guess? Which one should take you to prom.
~*~*~
Derek: A few weeks ago, I knew exactly how the next ten years would play out. Work, family… and then, I lost the trial, baby, blacklisted by FDA and Meredith… some days I miss her so much I don't know if I'm gonna make it.
~*~*~
(Closing Voiceover)
Alex: Be a man. People say it all the time.
Owen: But what does that even mean?
Richard: Is it about strength?
Owen: Is it about sacrifice?
Avery: Is it about winning?
Mark: Maybe it's simpler than that.
Derek: You have to know when not to man up. Sometimes it takes a real men to set his ego aside, admit defeat and start all over again.

The Chief makes a career-changing decision that shocks Seattle Grace Hospital; Cristina and Owen try to find normalcy in their relationship; April continues to struggle in her new role; and the 5th year residents are given their first solo surgeries, only to find out that even the most routine procedures aren't always easy.-ABC
Meredith: Sometimes it happens in an instance. We step up, we see a path forward. We see a path and we take it. Even when we have no idea where we're going.
~*~*~
Meredith: What do you need for me to say I'm sorry?
Derek: I need you to be sorry!
~*~*~
Derek: I know you took her to protect her. I know you altered the trial for Adele and Richard. You stood in front of a bullet for me. I know why you do all of it. It's what I love about you.
Meredith: And hate about me.
~*~*~
Alex: Does a pig even have an appendix.
Christina: Let's find out.
~*~*~
Mark: No shame, no shame at all. You're still the goober.
Jackson: Gunther.
~*~*~
Callie: Don't give up, you'll be great. Or not. I never was.
~*~*~
Cristina: How can he not tell me he's Chief of Surgery? Because I didn't have his baby?
~*~*~
Cristina: Are you guys the slow class?
~*~*~
Cristina: Where do I start? Because it's general surgery and I'm cardio. Because it's first year and I'm fifth year.
~*~*~
Teddy: You might remember this the next time you are screaming at an intern for fundamentals. Take your time it will come back.
Christina: No honestly I can stand here all day it won't...Oh my god, you don't know either.
Teddy: Don't try and make this about me.
Christina: Okay then tell me what to do.
Teddy: You should know what to do.
Christina: So should you!
Teddy: Well it's been even longer since I've done one!
Christina: Well I need your help.
Teddy: You need to be helping her right now.
Scrub Nurse: You probably want to ligate at the proximal edge, apply a straight clamp and lay down a purse string suture at the base.
Christina: Of course.
Teddy: Thank you.
~*~*~
Teddy: Can we make a deal?
Christina: We must never speak of this.
Teddy: Deal.
~*~*~
Meredith: Then why are you with me?
Derek: BECAUSE OF THAT! (points at the framed post-it note of their wedding) Because I meant that. I promised I wouldn't run. I promised I would love you.
Meredith: Even when you hate me?
Derek: Even when I hate you.
~*~*~
Meredith: You work, you study, you prepare. Months and years leading to one day, the day when you step up. On that day you have to be ready for everything, but there's one thing you can never quite prepare for. A day when you step down.
