All that I desire to point out is the general principle that Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life.-Oscar Wilde
Feeling nostalgic, I set out to find a little slice of my childhoodthe cartoons I used to watch, the theme songs Id never forget. As I searched, I was reminded more and more of all TV shows I used to watch, grinned at the memories they brought up, and even felt a little tearful at a time in the world wed never get back. Things just seemed so much simpler back then.
As more familiar shows began popping up in related videos, I decided, why stop at cartoons? And so began my search for all TV shows I remember watching (that I could actually find the credits for anyway). I couldnt believe how many shows Id actually forgotten about that, cue the theme song, brought about a laugh of surprise, followed instantly by the sudden need to go watch again.
Thus, I present to you, a life in TV opening credits! Some shows I only caught in reruns, some of them are just a hazy half-remembered memory, but all of them have brought me to where I am today. So thank you creative minds of the past, present, and future! You have inspired me more than you will ever know!
Jem
My Little Pony-Original
Rainbow Bright
Strawberry Shortcake
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
He-Man and She-Ra (I remember them, had their action figures, but I don't remember the openings to the TV shows very well)
Today marks the start of March Madness here in the US, which means TV will be taking a break for basketball. But that doesn't mean we have to take a break from TV
If you're like me, you're wondering, ok, when do I need to start paying attention to TV again now that the holidays are winding down? Well, after a long search though promos and websites, I think I've finally gotten down a few dates for all of us to have in one place to help us remember.
Finally a year worth voting in! Both Bones and Supernatural are nominated this year, along with Grey's Anatomy, Glee, House, and Hawaii Five-O, so head on over to the official site to VOTE NOW.
At long last, TV is back! It's time to reunite with your favorite characters (and some new ones) this week, so don't forget to note some important day/time changes! So, you ask, what am I watching? Well check out the list below to find out.
Thanks to TV Guide, here's a first look at what TV shows have been renewed, are looking like they will get renewed, are in danger of being canceled, and those that have already been canceled or are ending. I've bolded those covered by TV Chit Chat for easier eye scanning.
