Grey's Anatomy: (8x11) This Magic Moment

The doctors split into teams for a risky surgery involving conjoined twins; Bailey recruits Meredith to be a buffer between her and Ben when he puts pressure on moving their relationship to a more serious level; Richard teaches Alex a tough lesson in the OR; meanwhile Teddy questions Cristina about what exactly happened to Henry during his surgery.

Meredith: Have you ever had the starring role in a play? A solo in a recital? All eyes on you...Waiting for you to do what they came to see...Feeling the incredible pressure to perform. There was a time when they used to call operating rooms an "Operating Theatre"...It still feels like one...Scores of people get ready for the show. The sets are arranged. There are costumes. Masks. Props. Everything has to be rehearsed, choreographed, all leading to the moment when the curtain goes up.

Bailey: Ok I'm going to tell you something about my personal life.

Meredith: Really?

~*~*~

Richard: You get to a point in your life when you realize you have more yesterdays than tomorrows.

Bailey: Is it a crime to focus when I'm in the workplace?

~*~*~

Bailey: There is beauty in the basics.

~*~*~

Bailey: The fact that I know things about your personal life is one of the great sadnesses in mine.

~*~*~

Bailey: You want me to move in to save on your electric bill??

~*~*~

Alex: Your's over mine, we're in the fine. Mine over yours, baby's in the morgue.

~*~*~

Teddy: Are you 100% sure?

Kepner: She said she's sure! Enough, this is enough! You can't keep doing this!

Meredith: Dr. Bailey, the sponge is on the bottom of your shoe.

Ben: Focus. Like a laser.

~*~*~

Arizona: Why are you doing this and not Karev? He was the one who suggested the transplant.

Chief Webber: I picked his pocket. Twice in one day!

Cristina: I'm sorry.

Teddy: You don't apologize, you hear me? You don't blame yourself. You did every single thing that I would have done. You were me in that OR. You did good and you did it right. He just…he just…he just died.

Meredith: Say you're in the OR. Repairing a vena cava. When suddenly everything goes to hell. So, you cut this, suture that, and soon that crappy situation is a thing of the past. Too bad you can't meet all of life's challenges with a surgical scalpel. I mean, you could try. But I'm pretty sure that would be considered assault.

Meredith: If only life was just a dress rehearsal and we had time for do-overs. We'd be able to practice and practice every moment until we got it right. Unfortunately, every day of our lives is our own performance. It seems like even when we get the chance to rehearse and prepare and practice we're still never ready for life's grand moments.
