Crossing Jordan - Loves Me Not

September 19th 2006 13:32
Secret rooms. Skeletons. A death museum. Yeah, that’s more like it.

Sometimes I just love the whole contrived get-two-characters-away-from-home-and-trap-them-together situation. The setting for this one is an eerie little town in the middle of nowhere. A murder was committed, and Woody and Jordan are called out to investigate at a Bed and Breakfast that doubles as a haunted house. The B and B stayers believe a ghost is responsible, and Jordan thinks one of them is a tad more likely. Naturally, they get snowed in and are forced to spend the night, leaving them trapped with the killer, with no help from the outside world. Yep, the clichés just keep rolling in, and I love it.

Before she leaves, Pollack tells Jordan he loves her, so naturally she uses his declaration as an excuse to jump Woody. I don’t know about you, but I’m keen to know where that went (because we all know it went, if you get what I’m saying).

Crossing Jordan might not be lost after all. Maybe it's the romance talking, but in this humble viewer’s opinion, it might have saved itself just in time.
