Convinced his son's cover is blow, Chuck's dad tries to convince him he needs to run to protect those he loves.
Steven Bartowski: Son, your brain is working fine so far, right? Who wouldn't be paranoid in your shoes? Your cover's blown, your secret base discovered, your dead partner and girlfriend's ex-lover was a double agent.
Chuck: Way to talk me down, dad.
Steven Bartowski: What I - what I'm trying to say is: your courage makes me very proud. But there's some battles you have to walk away from.

Awesome: Ellie would never...
Morgan: Devon.
Awesome: Whoa.
Morgan: I'm sorry.
Awesome: You just called me "Devon."
Morgan: Yeah, well, this is no time for frivolity.

Sarah: We have to call Washington and tell them what's really going on.
Casey: Most of Washington is in that room. Shaw and the Ring have taken over the CIA. He's got the whole chain of command eating out of his hand. God only knows how many Ring agents are on the inside. It's only a matter of time before they burn us too.
Sarah: So what? You're just going to run?
Casey: It's not just us they're gonna to come after. They're gonna come after the people we care about. You coming?
Sarah: No. Everything I care about is inside this building.
Casey: Good luck Agent Walker - Sarah.

Awesome: Chuck has been with the CIA for years. I am so glad you finally know. What a relief it is to talk. - - You don't know. Oh no, I just told you.
Ellie: You are going to tell me everything you know, right now!

Ellie: Morgan Grimes. The boy who took my pillow as his date to Junior Prom knows more about my family being spies than I do.

Casey: You were named after your dad, Alex. You were named after me. My real name's Alex Coburn. Please you have to trust me. You have to get to your mom and disappear. Go Alex. Run!

Steven Bartowski: I'm your father. You cannot ask me. Please do not ask me to put my own son in jeopardy.
Chuck: I can't just walk away, dad. Why did you come back this time? You came back because you wanted to protect Ellie and me. Because you knew no matter how far you ran, you couldn't live with yourself if something happened to someone you love.
Steven Bartowski: If we do this... we gotta be smart. Not think emotionally. We can do it. We're Bartowskis!

Steven Bartowski: If we're not back in 20 minutes, run!
Ellie: I need to hear you say it. I need to know there's a reason you left us.
Steven Bartowski:...It's a long story. I wanna tell you everything, but I gotta - I gotta take care of this first, okay? (hugs her) This is the last time I'm going to walk away from you, I promise. Love you, baby.

Casey: Don't know when it happened but our boy became a man. Bartowski's a spy. Picked a good one Walker - finally.

Steven Bartowski: [to young Ellie and Chuck] There's nothing broken in - in this whole world that you can't fix if you work together. Charles, go into your sister's room and get some of her art supplies. Go on. (Chuck leaves) Ellie, you're going to help him. (she looks upset) I know it's hard, El. But your brother does have a knack for getting into trouble. But you - you're going to have to protect Chuck. Be there no matter what. Because you're his big sister. Can you do that for me?

Steven Bartowski: (dying, to Chuck) You're special son. Always remember... that you're special.

General Beckman: They're shutting down the Intersect Project including myself. They apprehended Colonel Casey. Agent Walker is in custody. Bartowski eacaped this facility. He is a wanted man. I need you to find him. Much as it pains me to admit, you are our only hope! - You are our only hope! (on screen, she's gone)
Awesome: (looks at Morgan) Dude, did she mean you or me?

Ellie: I'm following them now. Are you ready?
Awesome: We're ready. I'm warning you, Ellie. If we do this, there's no turning back, our lives are changed forever. I'm asking you one final time, are you sure this is what you want?
Ellie: (crying) Yes.
