Sad news reached fans of the "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" star Monday when news broke that Patrick Swayze has died from pancreatic cancer. He was only 57.
He was a great actor and our thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.
Very sad news today. Gidget, the Taco Bell Chihuahua who made "Qo quiero Taco Bell" a household catchphrase has passed away.
From People Magazine:
She charmed millions without ever saying a word, and managed to make fast food tacos adorable. Gidget, the Chihuahua best known for her Taco Bell ad campaign, died from a stroke on Tuesday night at age 15.
"She made so many people happy," says Gidget's trainer, Sue Chipperton. PEOPLE met both Gidget and Sue at a Hollywood animals photo shoot in February, where the pup was a consummate pro and delighted the crew with her playful nature.
The mostly retired actor lived out her days laying in the sun – "I like to joke that it's like looking after a plant," says Chipperton – and entertaining at shoots when her trainer brought her along. "Gidget," says Chipperton, "always knew where the camera was."
Rest in peace little Gidget. I toast my burrito to you. *sniff* You will be very missed.
Known as "the most trusted man in America" at one time, Walter Cronkite has passed away at the age of 92. I may be too young to have seen the great anchorman in action, but his contribution to the world of News is not lost on me. Our hearts go out to his friends and family. He will be sadly missed
You probably know him best as the “Heeeeeer’s Johnny!” guy who ushered in Johnny Carson all those years. Sadly, the Tonight Show sidekick died early Tuesday at the age of 86. He will be greatly missed.
The great actor-comedian/chef known for his roles in films such as Mel Brooks's "The Twelve Chairs," "Blazing Saddles," "Silent Movie," "History of the World Part I" and "Robin Hood: Men in Tights." and "Spaceballs" died in his sleep after a long ilness Monday night. DeLuise was also known for his many roles opposite friend Burt Reynolds, including "The End," "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," "Smokey and the Bandit II," "The Cannonball Run" and "Cannonball Run II
After the disastrous “5 reality hosts host the Emmys”, the 2008 awards season was saved by Hugh Jackman and this year’s Academy Awards. Everything from the opening musical number, the grand production design, and the ‘this-is-the-way-movies-are-m ade structure’ made the actual show fun to watch. For the first time in a long time I didn’t find myself getting bored during an awards show or flipping channels during the commercials or super-long speeches. Maybe it’s just my love of theatre, well-edited montages, and creativity in general, but I loved the show. It was funny, it was fast-moving, it was Busby Berkeley meets the digital age. It was the story of the little movie that could (Slumdog Millionaire), the past applauding the new, and last but not least, Kate Winslet FINALLY won an Oscar! Whoohoo! It’s about time
I don't even know what to say. I'm shocked and incredibly saddened by the passing of our beloved X-files and Supernatural Director/Producer Kim Manners. I've watched countless hours of his incredible work and had always hoped one day I might have the honor of working with him. The man was a creative genius and, as we've heard from everyone he worked with, was an actor's director who loved to have fun on set. He will be greatly missed by all his fans around the world. The analog era is quickly coming to and end, and with only a month before the US goes digital, people are scrambling to get their TVs updated. We saw what happened when Hawaii went early, so we can only assume it'll be just as bad on the mainland. So what can you do to avoid long waits on the help line?
That's right, at the red carpet benefit for the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, a charity founded by Paul Newman, the actor told E! Online reporter Jason Kennedy that:
["Two Lovers", his romantic drama with Gwyneth Paltrow] will be my last performance as an actor. I'm not doing films anymore... I've been through that. I've done it... I'm dead serious.
