The X-files actor mentioned he was going to have an XF2 blog...is this it? Edit: Yeah it definitely is, as it's listed on the official site under "blogs" as "The Duchovny Files". Yay!
If you're a fan of Lost, you know this song and it usually brings tears to your eyes. I've always called it the "dying theme", but it's actually called "Parting Words" by Michael Giacchino. Listen to the hauntingly beautiful song below...
Inkworks announces a new premium trading card collection based on the upcoming X-Files motion picture along with a subset of cards from fan favorite episodes. The collection will be released July 25 to coincide with highly-anticipated debut of the motion picture THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE.
The 72-card series will feature the franchise’s iconic lead characters Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, as well as the new film’s action and intrigue. This will be the first new “The X-Files” trading card product from Inkworks since the sold-out THE X-FILES: CONNECTIONS trading card set in 2005. In addition to the base set, collectors can also find several levels of randomly-inserted bonus cards including...Autograph cards and cards featuring pieces of the actual costumes worn on-screen during the movie.
Head on over to the Inkworks website to get a sneak peak at the actual cards. And believe me, they're soo worth it! But be forewarned, if you're trying to stay spoiler-free, don't look! (At least not until after July 25th of course...)
Are finally up on Yahoo! There are two new ones, one entitled, "Hold the Line" with Father Joe (Billy Connelly) leads the FBI on a search of the ice. The other one called, "Through Dirty Glass" has Scully telling Mulder he has to give up his obsession and stop looking for his sister. View the video clips HERE and the two trailers!
Seems we're finally getting that 'we-should-start-letting-peop le-write-about-what-they-saw- if-we-expect-any-promotion-be fore-the-movie' memo sent out. And thus far this is one of my favorite articles, it's from Ropesofsilicon and is entitled, Can You Tell What We Saw On the Set of 'X-Files: I Want to Believe'?
The official X-files site got a major flash-intensive update, complete with new pics (my favorite is that one in the "unremarkable house" with Mulder and Scully
We all saw what happened when the writers' striked (seasons cut in half, millions of dollars lost, good shows cancelled, tons of people without a job...), and come Tuesday it looks like the actors may follow.
Don't get me wrong, I fully supported the writers and am glad they got their deal, but I don't know if I can make it through another strike
The new X-files online trivia game is now up and running. Challenge fellow X-philes for the #1 spot, prove your worth when it comes to Mulder and Scully, conspiracies, and all things X-files! I’ll start off by saying that no one could totally replace my love the original cast of my favorite classic TV show. That being said, Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway do this Get Smart fan justice bringing Maxwell Smart, Agent 86, and Agent 99 back to the big screen
Amazon has posted the soundtrack listing for The X-files: I Want to Believe, which you can preorder here. It's set to be released July 22, and yes, X-files alum Mark Snow is back to score the new movie! (soundtrack listing below)
The song of the week this week comes from this season's finale of House, "Wilson's Heart". The song is Passing Afternoon by Iron & Wine. So sad, but so good. Just like the finale.
Yesterday a rep from DirecTV called MLL’s Leeser and said that Moonlighters have definitely caught their attention. They would like more information about actual numbers, though, so Leeser has posted a poll at MLL asking if you have DirecTV now or would be willing to get DirecTV if they sponsored Moonlight. You do need to be a member at MLL to vote, but registration is quick and easy. The folks at DirecTV will be monitoring the poll. Go vote!!
UPDATE 06.20.08: DirecTV has been by for a look and have commented on the “phenomenal response” (their exact phrasing)!

I can’t believe it, but as of yesterday, it’s been a year since I took over the blogging of TV Chit Chat, and what a year it’s been! Aside from the (dare utter it?) Writers’ Strike and lack of awards shows, there were some definite quotable quotes, *GASP!* moments, and great new shows actually worth watching. And so, in honor of this season, I thought it only appropriate to recap the year in the form of…*ahem* original parody of a popular song
Time is winding down to the premiere of The X-files: I Want to Believe, and we're finally getting some new pictures of the mysterious shooting...still nothing major spoiler-wise, but interesting nonetheless...
